Rigid Overhead Contact-bar System on Citybanan

Underneath Stockholm City a 6km long double-track tunnel is being built. It will have 2 new stations for commuter trains: Stockholm City and Stockholm Odenplan. The tunnel is partly going through solid rock; 370m are submerged in the Söderström.

F+F are proud to have been entrusted with allocation-design assistance and delivery of the Rigid Overhead Conductor-bar System. The conductor bar had to be installed before the track was laid, which is a big challenge for the designers.

The conductor bar is now installed throughout the tunnel.
