New, more powerful 3-phase multiple unit trains are being commissioned at Jungfraubahn. They require an increased current-carrying capacity of the overhead contact line, which is achieved by adding a reduced-size conductor bar to each contact wire.

Consulting Engineers Railectric​ ( http://www.railectric.com ) have calculated that together with the reinforcement of the wires also the symmetry of the 3 phase conductors (2 contact wires plus track) is improved.
